The Potato Manifesto
How long has our kind been marginalized Ostracized at supermarkets With a dismissive wave of hand As poor folks' food
My origins are humble But like me the Truffle also comes from the ground. I’m the butt of jokes, derided, Likened to lazy sit-abouts -- "couch potatoes." My skin devoured with beer by potbellied men of no distinction.
So I issue a call to you, many-eyed brethren Fellow discontents and maltreated Amer-potatoes to migrate to Russia where, blended together, we will be appreciated in fine-aged vodka. |
